This beautiful Unity Indigenous blanket is crafted from sustainable fabric. Perfect for family picnics, camping, and cozy nights around the campfire, it's large enough for a queen-sized bed or as a throw blanket. Its warm and luxurious wool blend makes it soft and machine washable. The edge binding adds a touch of elegance.

"I drew inspiration from my father's Onyota'a:ka identity. I wanted this blanket to represent the Dust Fan Wampum Belt, the Sky Domes, and iconic representations of people holding hands."

At the center of the blanket is the Dust Fan Wampum Belt, also known as the Ever Growing Tree Belt. This belt predates colonization and represents an essential element of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy: the Tree of Peace. When the Haudenosaunee Confederacy unified, the nations buried their weapons under a white pine to symbolize their union under the Great Law of Peace. This belt represents the Tree of Peace that will never stop growing, and consequently, the peace of the Confederacy itself.

The Skydomes represent the Skyworld in our Creation story, from which life originates.

Finally, the outer rows of this blanket feature iconic representations of people holding hands. I wanted to include this element to complement the three inner rows, symbolizing our continued adherence to the Great Law of Peace and our unwavering connection to the spiritual and ritual.

Size: 60 inches x 80 inches

That is why I chose to name this blanket "Unity." I hope it will educate and transcend cultures, offering a vision of a world where peace and unity are fundamental to all our communities, societies, and relationships worldwide, supported by a deep connection to the natural and spiritual worlds, and most importantly, preserved by the goodwill of all those with whom we share this planet. – Tsista Kennedy
